Sale! Sale! Sale! Most Consumers are out there looking for a bargain. Consumers look forward to Black Friday because it is the bargain day of the year. Well, when is a deal a deal? Not every item on sales is a good deal. Now is it worth it to leave your home on Thanksgiving Day to get on line for hours so that you can save $50? Where does one stop this madness? Where can't stores offer a small discount over the months leading up to Christmas instead of a major discount on one day? Black Friday is a great day for discounts on some items but before you decide to get online make sure you know what you need because stores are counting on you getting excited by all the sales signs. Only take the amount of money you want to spend with you leave the cards and extra cash at home.
Before Hurricane Sandy no one was worried about distractions or gas or even where their next meal will come from. Ads like the one above from American Apparel were prevalent. We expected to walk away unscratched because we are New Yorkers, we are invincible. But the universe has a mind of its own. Sandy was no joke. No one was bored. We sure were worried about what we would find outside when it was all over. Corporations spend millions to research consumers spending habits. They know in today's technological world people often do not let themselves relax. We are always on the go. This is why ads like the one below was found everywhere Pre-Hurricane Sandy

Consumers are targeted everyday with ads. The most venerable among us are children. Their walks to school is riddled with ads of things that are harmful to them. They are exposed to ads of food that is not good for them. Take the ad below for instance, many adults can't resist a cute bear. How do we expect children to do it? Children see ads like the one below. The ads they often see are not ads for fresh foods. It is foods packed with sugar and trans fats. Lets endeavor to have children life longer, and healthier lives. Who thinks their should be a band of fast food store from neighborhoods schools?
